PCS + MV Skid
EquipmentAlso known as: MV Skid, Integrated PCS-Transformer
A PCS + MV Skid combines a Power Conversion System (inverter) with a medium-voltage (MV) step-up transformer on a single structural frame. This integration reduces cabling, footprint, and on-site installation work compared to separate PCS and transformer units.
MV skids typically output at voltage levels between 10 kV and 35 kV. Product model names that include a voltage indicator (e.g. "-35" for 35 kV) usually indicate an MV skid rather than a standalone PCS. This distinction matters for system design and procurement.
