LFP

Chemistry

Còn được gọi là: Lithium Iron Phosphate, LiFePO₄

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄), abbreviated LFP, is a lithium-ion battery chemistry that uses iron phosphate as the cathode material. LFP offers a favourable balance of safety, cycle life (typically 5,000–12,000+ cycles), thermal stability, and cost, making it the industry standard for utility-scale and C&I energy storage. Compared to NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt), LFP has lower energy density (less energy per kilogram) but is significantly safer — it does not contain cobalt or nickel, and is more resistant to thermal runaway. Nearly all new utility-scale BESS projects globally use LFP chemistry.
