Blok DC ialah unit kendiri yang menggabungkan modul bateri, rak, BMS dan pengurusan terma bersepadu dalam satu set sedia beroperasi dalam arus terus. Kadar C menentukan kuasa maksimum cas/nyahcas berbanding kapasiti. Kadar C lebih tinggi (≥ 0.5C) membolehkan penimbunan hasil; kadar lebih rendah (0.25C) mengoptimumkan kitaran lebih perlahan dan degradasi lebih rendah.
Kapasiti tenaga
4 – 9+ MWh
Kapasiti tenaga setiap blok DC mempengaruhi secara langsung keluasan tapak, kerumitan pendawaian dan kos. Blok lebih besar mengurangkan bilangan unit dan sambungan BoP yang diperlukan.

Apakah perbezaan antara blok DC dan blok AC?
Blok DC membekalkan arus terus dan perlu disambungkan kepada PCS luaran yang menukarkan arus kepada arus ulang-alik serasi grid. Blok AC menyepadukan PCS dan bateri dalam satu unit dan membekalkan arus ulang-alik secara terus. Blok DC menawarkan lebih fleksibiliti seni bina dan diutamakan untuk kebanyakan projek skala utiliti, manakala blok AC memudahkan penyepaduan dan lebih biasa dalam aplikasi C&I bersaiz kecil.
Mengapa kebanyakan projek BESS skala utiliti menggunakan blok DC?
Blok DC membolehkan pemaju dan syarikat EPC memilih pembekal PCS dan pengeluar bateri secara bebas, serta mengoptimumkan seni bina sistem (berpusat vs bertali) mengikut keperluan setiap projek. Modulariti ini meningkatkan kedudukan perundingan dalam perolehan, memudahkan penggantian di bawah waranti dan membolehkan peluasan kapasiti yang lebih ekonomi sepanjang hayat projek.
Apakah pensijilan yang diperlukan untuk blok DC?
Dua pensijilan yang paling kerap diminta ialah UL 9540A (kaedah ujian penyebaran kebakaran di peringkat sistem) dan IEC 62619 (keperluan keselamatan untuk bateri litium-ion industri). Bergantung pada rantau dan pemaju, standard tambahan mungkin diperlukan, seperti UN 38.3 (pengangkutan), IEC 62477 (keselamatan peralatan elektronik kuasa), penarafan IP dan keperluan perlindungan kebakaran khusus projek.
Bagaimana kapasiti blok DC mempengaruhi kos projek?
Blok DC lebih besar (cth. 5+ MWh setiap unit) mengurangkan jumlah unit yang diperlukan untuk projek, sekali gus mengurangkan pendawaian, BoP dan usaha pemasangan. Walau bagaimanapun, unit lebih besar memerlukan peralatan angkat lebih berat untuk pengangkutan dan penempatan.
